El CSIC indaga en los materiales que usaba el pintor sevillano

A Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (Sevilla, 1617-1682) le encantaba el esmalte azul; pero también el bermellón, el lapislázuli, blanco de plomo o la laca roja. Son algunas de las conclusiones de un equipo del Instituto de Ciencias de Materiales de Sevilla, del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), la Universidad de Sevilla y el Museo de Bellas Artes de la capital andaluza tras analizar, con rayos X, muestras mínimas de tres de sus obras: Virgen con niño, San Juan Bautista y San José y el niño.
