World Heritage Centre of UNESCO On the first trip Innovation Club members of the Steering Committee of the International Campus Project for Excellence in Cultural and Natural Heritage visited the World Heritage Centre of UNESCO and held a meeting with representatives of that body.
The Centre, established in 1992, is the central focal point and coordinator within UNESCO for all matters related to World Heritage. Responsible for the daily management of the convention, organizes annual meetings of the World Heritage Committee and its Bureau, provides advice to States Parties in preparing nominations, coordinates information on the status of sites and the emergency measures undertaken when a site is threatened.
In this regard, members of the delegation of the draft had a chance to have a meeting with the specialist programs World Heritage Centre of UNESCO, Nuria Sanz, where he also develops several functions such as overall coordination of the Organization in the process Campino nomination of the Main Andean World Heritage list, is responsible for the international World Heritage Programme and Origin of Prehistoric Human Evolution as well as Latin America and Caribbean Unit.
This meeting served to see first hand the activities that the World Heritage Centre are ongoing, while restating and explaining the International Campus Project for Excellence in Cultural and Natural Heritage in order to detect power lines cooperation.
